Passengers travelling with Air Cairo who lose personal belongings during their journey can request assistance through the airline or the relevant airport authority. Lost property may include items left on board the aircraft, within airport terminals, or in checked baggage.

Reporting Lost Items

Passengers should report missing items as soon as possible after discovery. Reports should include the passenger's name, flight number, travel date, contact information, and a detailed description of the missing item. Lost property found within airport terminals is handled by the airport's lost and found office, while items left on board are managed through Air Cairo and its ground handling partners.

Onboard Items

Personal belongings found on Air Cairo aircraft are recorded and stored by the airline's ground handling representatives at the arrival airport. Passengers should provide their flight details, seat number, and a description of the item when submitting an enquiry. Recovery and collection arrangements are coordinated through the airport handling office where the item is located.

Checked Baggage Issues

Passengers must report delayed, missing, or damaged checked baggage to the Air Cairo baggage service desk immediately upon arrival and before leaving the baggage reclaim area. A Property Irregularity Report (PIR) will be issued and assigned a reference number for baggage tracing purposes.

Passengers may use the PIR reference number when communicating with the airline regarding baggage status updates. Supporting documents, including baggage tags, boarding passes, and receipts for damaged items, may be required during the investigation process.

Item Collection

Recovered items are released only to the passenger or an authorised representative. Valid identification must be presented at the time of collection. For baggage-related cases, passengers may also be required to provide the PIR reference number and baggage claim documentation. Collection arrangements are coordinated directly with the airport handling office or Air Cairo representative responsible for the recovered item.
