Passengers travelling with Air Caraïbes who lose personal belongings can report
missing items through the airline or the airport operator, depending on where
the item was lost. Personal property may be left on board the aircraft, in
airport facilities, or within baggage handling areas. Reports should be
submitted as soon as possible after the loss is discovered.
Reporting Lost Items
Passengers who have lost personal
belongings should contact Air Caraïbes or the relevant airport lost property
office with their flight details, travel date, contact information, and a
detailed description of the missing item. The responsible service will review
the report and contact the passenger if the item is located.
Onboard Items
Items left on board Air Caraïbes aircraft are
collected by the airline or its ground handling partners after arrival.
Passengers reporting onboard lost property should provide their flight number,
travel date, seat number, and a description of the item to support
identification and recovery procedures.
Checked Baggage Issues
Passengers whose checked baggage is delayed, damaged, or missing must report
the issue to the Air Caraïbes baggage service desk before leaving the arrivals
area. A Property Irregularity Report (PIR) is issued and serves as the reference
document for baggage tracing and compensation claims. Baggage tracking updates
are available through the WorldTracer system using the PIR reference number.
Item Collection
Recovered personal belongings and
traced baggage are returned in accordance with the procedures established by the
airport, handling agent, or Air Caraïbes baggage service. Passengers may be
required to present identification and supporting documentation before
collecting recovered items. Collection arrangements are communicated directly to
the passenger once the item has been located.
