Passengers traveling with Air India can complete check-in through online
services, airport self-service kiosks, or staffed airport counters. These
methods enable travelers to obtain boarding passes and complete required
pre-departure procedures before proceeding to security screening and boarding.
Online / Mobile Check-in
Air India provides web and mobile check-in from 48 hours up to 2 hours before
departure. Passengers can select seats, update booking details, and download or
print boarding passes. Mobile check-in supports the use of digital boarding
passes at participating airports.
Self-Service Kiosks
Self-service kiosks are installed at selected airports. Passengers can print
boarding passes and baggage tags using these kiosks.
Airport Counter Check-in
Airport counters open 3 to 4 hours before international flights and 2 to 3 hours
before domestic flights. Counters close 60 minutes before domestic departures
and 90 minutes before international departures. Passengers with checked baggage
can proceed to bag-drop counters after completing online check-in.
Special Assistance
Dedicated counters handle passengers requiring assistance, including
unaccompanied minors, elderly travelers, and passengers with medical or mobility
requirements.
