Passengers travelling with Air Moana who lose personal belongings during their
journey should report the matter as soon as possible. Items may be misplaced on
board the aircraft, within airport facilities, or in connection with checked
baggage handling. Prompt reporting assists with the identification and recovery
process.
Reporting Lost Items
Passengers who discover that
personal belongings are missing should contact Air Moana Customer Service or the
relevant airport authority. Reports should include the passenger’s name, flight
number, travel date, contact details, and a detailed description of the missing
item.
Onboard Items
Items left on board Air Moana
aircraft may be recovered during post-flight cabin inspections. Passengers
should provide details such as their flight number, travel date, and seat number
when reporting a missing item to assist with identification.
Checked Baggage Issues
Passengers whose checked baggage is
delayed, lost, or damaged must report the issue immediately upon arrival before
leaving the airport. The report should be submitted to the baggage service desk
or Air Moana’s handling representative at the arrival airport. Supporting
documents, including the baggage tag and boarding pass, may be required during
the tracing process.
Under Air Moana’s Conditions of Carriage, any
missing baggage must be reported upon arrival. Claims relating to damaged
baggage must be submitted in writing within 7 days from the date the baggage is
received, while claims relating to delayed baggage must be submitted within 21
days from the date the baggage is made available to the passenger.
Item Collection
Recovered personal items and baggage are
returned to passengers upon verification of ownership. Passengers may be
required to present identification and supporting travel documents before an
item is released.
