» Lost and Found
Passengers traveling with Air Niugini who lose personal belongings can request
assistance through the airline’s baggage services and airport handling teams.
Lost items may include belongings left onboard the aircraft, within airport
terminals, or issues involving checked baggage.
Reporting Lost Items
Passengers should report lost items
immediately to Air Niugini staff or the airport baggage services office at the
arrival airport. Reports must include passenger details, flight number, travel
date, baggage tag information where applicable, and a detailed description of
the missing item.
Onboard Items
Items left
onboard Air Niugini aircraft are collected by cabin crew or ground handling
staff after arrival. Passengers should provide their seat number and flight
details when submitting a lost property enquiry to assist with identification
and recovery.
Checked Baggage Issues
Passengers
must report delayed, lost, or damaged checked baggage at the Air Niugini baggage
service counter before leaving the airport arrival area. A Property Irregularity
Report (PIR) will be issued for baggage tracing and claims processing. The PIR
reference number is required for all baggage follow-up enquiries.
Item Collection
Recovered items can be collected from
the airport baggage services office or designated handling agent. Passengers are
required to present valid identification and supporting reference documents,
including the PIR number if applicable. Unclaimed items are retained according
to airport and airline handling procedures.
