Passengers who lose personal belongings or experience baggage delivery issues while traveling with Delta Air Lines can report the incident through airline or airport Lost and Found services.

Onboard Lost Items

Items left onboard a Delta aircraft are collected after arrival and transferred to the Lost and Found office at the destination airport. Passengers must submit a report through the airline’s lost item reporting system with flight details and a description of the item.

Items Lost at the Airport

Items lost in airport terminals, including lounges, check-in areas, security checkpoints, and baggage claim areas, are handled by the airport Lost and Found department.

Lost or Missing Checked Baggage

Passengers whose checked baggage does not arrive on their flight must report the issue at the Baggage Service Office in the baggage claim area before leaving the airport. Airport staff create a Property Irregularity Report (PIR).

The report reference number allows baggage tracing through the international WorldTracer. Baggage that remains unrecovered after 21 days is classified as lost.

Reporting and Follow-Up

• Passengers can submit a lost item report through the Delta Air Lines website.

• Missing baggage must be reported immediately at the airport baggage office.

• Passengers can contact Delta customer support for updates.
