Losing a personal item or checked bag while travelling can be stressful. Emirates provides a Lost and Found service to help passengers report and trace lost belongings - whether the item was left onboard, at the airport, or misplaced at another point in the journey.

Onboard or In‑Flight Lost Items

If you forget something on an Emirates aircraft, cabin crew normally collect found objects at the end of the flight and hand them over to the Lost and Found department at your arrival airport. To start the recovery process, note where you think the item was lost and contact the airport's Lost and Found or Emirates customer service as soon as possible.

Items Lost at the Airport

Items lost in airport terminals - including lounges, security checkpoints, check‑in areas or baggage carousels - may be handled by airport Lost and Found offices rather than Emirates directly. Contact the airport's Lost and Found or speak to an Emirates representative at the airport for guidance on where to report your loss.

Lost or Missing Checked Baggage

If your checked luggage does not arrive on your Emirates flight, visit the Emirates Baggage Services Desk near baggage claim immediately after arrival. You’ll be asked to complete a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) with details about your bag. This report includes a reference number that helps track the bag via the global WorldTracer system. If a case remains open for more than 21 days without recovery, your missing baggage may be classified as lost.

Reporting and Follow‑Up Options

• For lost personal items after leaving the airport, complete Emirates' online Lost Property form with your flight details and item description.

• If in Dubai, you can visit Emirates Baggage Services in Arrivals or the Dubai Airports Lost and Found Property Office for items lost on airport premises.

• For assistance and updates, contact Emirates Customer Service — their global contact centre operates 24/7.

• Reporting lost items promptly and providing clear details increases the chances of recovery.
