Ethiopian Airlines provides formal procedures for handling lost property across
its network. Passengers who lose personal belongings or experience baggage
delivery issues while traveling with Ethiopian Airlines can report the incident
through airline or airport Lost and Found services.
Items Left on Board the Aircraft
Items found onboard are collected by cleaning crews and transferred to the
airline’s lost property office at the arrival airport. These items are recorded
and stored securely.
Items Lost at the Airport
Items misplaced within airport terminals are managed by airport authorities.
Passengers must contact the airport’s lost property office.
Baggage-Related Lost Property
Passengers must report missing baggage immediately at the baggage services
counter. A Property Irregularity Report is created to initiate tracking
procedures.
Reporting a Lost Item
Passengers can report lost items through airline counters or customer service
channels. Flight details and item descriptions are required.
Recovery and Collection
Recovered items are released after verification of ownership. Identification
must be presented during collection.
Passenger Advice
Passengers are advised to keep valuables in carry-on baggage, retain
documentation, and confirm belongings before leaving the aircraft.
