Passengers flying with Icelandair are required to complete check-in procedures prior to departure in order to obtain their boarding pass and proceed through security and boarding.

Online Check-in

Icelandair provides online check-in via its website and mobile app. Online check-in opens 24 hours before scheduled departure and remains available until 1 hour before departure for most international flights. Passengers can select seats, add services, and download or print their boarding passes.

Airport Counter Check-in

Airport check-in counters are available at all Icelandair departure airports. Counters open 3 hours before scheduled departure. Check-in closes 60 minutes before departure for international flights. Passengers must present valid travel documents at the counter to receive their boarding passes and complete document verification if required.

Self-Service Kiosks

Self-service check-in kiosks are available at selected airports, including Keflavík International Airport (KEF). These kiosks allow passengers to check in, select seats, and print boarding passes and baggage tags where applicable.

Special Assistance

Passengers requiring special assistance, including those with reduced mobility or medical conditions, must notify Icelandair in advance. Assistance services are coordinated at the airport to support boarding, disembarkation, and transit requirements.
