Onboard Lost Items

Items left onboard a Japan Airlines aircraft are collected by cabin crew after passengers disembark. The items are transferred to the Lost and Found office at the arrival airport, including facilities at Tokyo Haneda Airport and Narita International Airport.

Passengers who leave an item onboard must contact the Lost and Found office at the arrival airport or contact Japan Airlines customer service with their flight number, travel date, seat number, and a description of the missing item.

Items Lost at the Airport

Items lost inside airport terminals, including airline lounges, check-in halls, security checkpoints, boarding gates, and baggage claim areas, are handled by the airport Lost and Found department. Lost or Missing Checked Baggage

The report includes a reference number used to trace the baggage through the international WorldTracer. Baggage that remains unrecovered after 21 days is classified as lost and compensation procedures apply in accordance with airline policy.
