Passengers traveling with Korean Air can complete check-in through online
services, airport self-service kiosks, or staffed airport counters. These
options allow travelers to obtain their boarding pass and complete pre-flight
procedures before proceeding to security screening and boarding.
Online Check-in
Online check-in for Korean Air opens 48 hours before the scheduled departure
time and closes 60 minutes before departure for most international flights.
During online check-in, passengers can select or change their seat, add their
frequent flyer number from SKYPASS, and download or print their boarding pass.
Passengers traveling with checked baggage must drop their luggage at the airport
baggage drop counter before the baggage acceptance deadline.
Self-Service Kiosks
Self-service check-in kiosks operate at major airports across the airline’s
network, including its primary hub at Incheon International Airport. These
kiosks allow passengers to check in, print boarding passes, and generate baggage
tags before proceeding to the baggage drop area.
Airport Counter Check-in
Airport check-in counters open three hours before international departures.
Check-in closes 60 minutes before departure for most international flights.
Passengers traveling on international flights must arrive at the airport two to
three hours before departure to complete baggage drop, security screening, and
immigration procedures.
Important Reminders
• Online check-in is unavailable when the first flight in the itinerary is
operated by another airline.
• Mobile boarding passes are accepted at many airports. Some airports require
printed boarding passes.
• Passengers must comply with check-in deadlines and baggage acceptance rules at
their departure airport.
