Passengers who misplace personal belongings or experience baggage delivery
issues while traveling with Korean Air can report the incident through the
airline or airport Lost and Found services. Prompt reporting and accurate
information assist in locating and returning lost property.
Onboard Lost Items
Items left onboard a Korean Air aircraft are collected by cabin crew after
passengers disembark. The items are transferred to the Lost and Found office at
the arrival airport, including facilities at
Incheon International Airport and other destination airports.
Passengers who leave an item onboard must contact the Lost and Found office at
the arrival airport or contact Korean Air customer service with their flight
number, travel date, seat number, and a description of the missing item.
Items Lost at the Airport
Items lost inside airport terminals, including airline lounges, check-in halls,
security checkpoints, boarding gates, and baggage claim areas, are handled by
the airport Lost and Found department. Passengers must contact the airport
authority or speak with a Korean Air representative for instructions on filing a
report.
Lost or Missing Checked Baggage
Passengers whose checked baggage does not arrive on their flight must report the
issue immediately at the Baggage Services Desk located in the baggage claim
area. Airport staff create a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) containing
details about the missing bag.
The report includes a reference number used to trace the baggage through the
international WorldTracer. Baggage that remains unrecovered after 21 days is
classified as lost and compensation procedures apply in accordance with airline
policy.
Reporting and Follow-Up
• Passengers can submit a lost property report through the Korean Air website
after leaving the airport.
• Items lost within airport facilities must be reported directly to the airport
Lost and Found office.
