Malaysia Airlines provides support for passengers who have lost or misplaced personal belongings during travel. Items may be left on board aircraft, in airport terminals, or at airline service counters. Reports can be submitted through airline customer service or airport authorities.

Items Left on Board the Aircraft

Passengers must report items left on board through the airline’s website or service channels, providing flight details, seat number, and item description.

Items Lost at the Airport

Items lost in airport areas are handled by the airport’s lost property office, including security checkpoints, boarding gates, lounges, and baggage claim areas.

Baggage-Related Lost Property

Passengers must report missing checked baggage at the baggage service counter. A Property Irregularity Report (PIR) is created for tracking purposes.

Reporting a Lost Item

Passengers must provide:

• Passenger name and contact information
• Flight details and travel date
• Departure and arrival airports
• Description of the item
• Seat number if applicable

Recovery and Collection

Passengers are notified when items are located. Identification is required for collection.

Passenger Advice
