Qatar Airways offers several convenient check-in options designed to make the start of your journey smooth and efficient. Whether you prefer checking in online, using self-service facilities at the airport, or visiting a traditional check-in counter, the airline provides flexible solutions across most destinations in its global network.

Online Check-in

Passengers traveling with Qatar Airways can check in online starting 48 hours up to 90 minutes before departure. During the online check-in process, travelers can select or change seats, add their frequent flyer details from Qatar Airways Privilege Club, and download a mobile or printable boarding pass.

If you have checked baggage, you will still need to drop it off at the airport before the baggage drop deadline. Please note that online check-in may not be available for certain itineraries, particularly when the first flight is operated by a partner airline.

Self-Service Kiosks

At many international airports, Qatar Airways provides self-service check-in kiosks. These machines allow passengers to check in, print boarding passes, and generate baggage tags before proceeding to the bag drop counter. Kiosks typically become available several hours before departure, depending on airport facilities.

Airport Counter Check-in

For passengers who prefer assistance, traditional airport check-in counters remain available. Check-in desks generally open around 3 to 4 hours before departure and close approximately 60 to 90 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time.

The airline recommends arriving at the airport at least 90 minutes before departure if you have checked baggage, or 60 minutes before departure if you are traveling with carry-on luggage only. Additional time should be allowed for security screening and passport control, particularly at busy international airports such as Hamad International Airport.

Important Reminders

• Online check-in may not be available if the first flight in your itinerary is operated by another airline.
• Mobile boarding passes are accepted at most airports, although some locations may still require a printed boarding pass.
