Vietnam Airlines provides assistance for passengers who have lost or misplaced
personal belongings during travel. Items may be left on board aircraft or within
airport facilities. Reports can be made through airline customer service or
airport lost property offices.
Items Left on Board the Aircraft
Passengers must report items left on board by providing flight details, seat
number, and a description of the item through official channels.
Items Lost at the Airport
Items lost within airport terminals are handled by the airport’s lost property
office, including areas such as gates, lounges, security checkpoints, and
baggage claim.
Baggage-Related Lost Property
Passengers must report missing checked baggage at the airline’s baggage service
counter. A Property Irregularity Report (PIR) is created to initiate the tracing
process.
Reporting a Lost Item
Passengers must provide:
• Passenger name and contact information
• Flight number and travel date
• Departure and arrival airports
• Description of the item
• Seat number if applicable
Recovery and Collection
Passengers are contacted when items are located. Identification is required for
collection or delivery.
Passenger Advice
Passengers must check personal belongings before leaving the aircraft and
maintain control of items throughout the journey.
