Passengers traveling with Volaris who lose personal belongings can receive
assistance in recovering items that are misplaced during travel. Lost property
may occur on board the aircraft, at airport facilities, or during ground
handling. Passengers should report missing items promptly to initiate the
recovery process.
Reporting Lost Items
Passengers must report lost items
to Volaris or to airport staff at the arrival location as soon as the loss is
discovered. Reports should include flight information, travel date, seat number
(if applicable), and a detailed description of the missing item to assist in
identification.
Onboard Items
Belongings left on
an aircraft are collected by the airline’s ground handling agents after the
aircraft is unloaded. Passengers should provide flight details, seat number, and
a description of the item when making a report to improve the likelihood of
recovery.
Checked Baggage Issues
For issues
involving checked baggage that is delayed, lost, or damaged, passengers must
report the matter at the Volaris baggage service counter immediately upon
arrival. Airline staff will issue a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) with a
reference number, which is required for tracking and submitting any subsequent
claims. Passengers should retain the PIR reference until the issue is fully
resolved.
Item Collection
Recovered items are
held by the responsible ground handling agent or at the airport lost and found
facility. Passengers must present valid identification and, if applicable, the
PIR reference number to collect recovered belongings. Items not collected within
the retention period may be transferred to Volaris’s central lost and found or
disposed of in accordance with local regulations. Passengers must coordinate
directly with the airline or handling agent for collection of items held
offsite.
