Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport

Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport (重庆江北国际机场, CKG) is the main international gateway to Chongqing, one of China’s largest municipalities. The airport is located approximately 19 km northeast of Chongqing city center in Yubei District. As one of the busiest airports in western China, it serves extensive domestic routes and international flights connecting Chongqing with major cities across Asia, Europe, and other global destinations.

Facilities

The airport has three passenger terminals, Terminal 2A, Terminal 2B, and Terminal 3A, handling both domestic and international operations. Facilities include check in counters, self service kiosks, immigration and customs services, baggage claim areas, airline lounges, and passenger service counters.

Travelers can access duty free shops, retail outlets, convenience stores, cafés, and restaurants offering Chinese and international cuisine. Free WiFi is available throughout the terminals, along with ATMs, currency exchange counters, medical services, and travel assistance desks.

Airlines operating at CKG include Air China, China Southern Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, Hainan Airlines, Sichuan Airlines, and XiamenAir. These carriers provide connections to major Chinese cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, as well as international destinations including Singapore, Bangkok, Tokyo, and Doha.

Transportation

Travelers can reach the city center via taxis, airport buses, and ride hailing services. Chongqing Rail Transit Line 3 and Line 10 connect the airport with key areas of the city, including Chongqing North Railway Station and major commercial districts. Long distance buses and intercity transport services also link the airport with nearby cities and regions.
