Frankfurt International Airport

Frankfurt Airport (FRA) is Germany’s largest international airport and a major European aviation hub, located about 12 km southwest of Frankfurt city center. It serves as the primary hub for Lufthansa and connects Germany to destinations across Europe, Asia, the Americas, Africa, and the Middle East.

Facilities

The airport operates two main passenger terminals (Terminal 1 and Terminal 2), with Terminal 3 expanding capacity. Facilities include check-in counters, self-service kiosks, immigration and customs services, lounges, duty-free shops, retail outlets, and a wide variety of dining options. Free Wi-Fi, ATMs, currency exchange, medical services, and business facilities are available throughout the terminals.

Airlines

Frankfurt Airport is the main hub for Lufthansa and serves major international carriers such as Emirates, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, United Airlines, and British Airways. The airport offers extensive European routes as well as long-haul connections to key global cities.

Transportation

FRA has regional and long-distance railway stations with direct S-Bahn and ICE connections to Frankfurt city center (about 15 minutes) and other major German cities. Taxis, ride-hailing services, car rentals, and long-distance buses are also available. The airport is easily accessible via the A3 and A5 highways.
