Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (臺灣桃園國際機場, TPE) is the main international gateway to Taiwan’s capital, Taipei, located approximately 40 km west of the city center in Taoyuan City. As the busiest airport in Taiwan, it serves both domestic and international flights, connecting the island to destinations across Asia, North America, Europe, and the Middle East. The airport plays a crucial role in supporting tourism, business, and cargo transport in Taiwan.

The airport offers extensive domestic services to destinations within Taiwan, as well as international flights to major hubs such as Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, Singapore, Los Angeles, New York, and London.

Transportation

Travelers can reach Taipei city center via taxis, ride-hailing services, airport shuttle buses, and the Taoyuan Airport MRT, which connects directly to Taipei Main Station in approximately 35–45 minutes. Private transfers and hotel shuttles are also commonly arranged. Travel time to the city center varies depending on traffic and mode of transport.
