Transit Visa » Argentina
Passengers traveling through Argentina to another country within twelve (12)
hours of arrival, holding an outgoing boarding pass and declared as such by the
airline, do not need a visa or to pay the Reciprocity Fee.
Transit visas for Argentina can be obtained for passing through the country to
another destination, for stays ranging from 12 hours up to 10 days.
Passengers in transit in Argentina fall into THREE (3) categories:
1. Passengers in transit: Those entering Argentina solely to transit to another
country, holding an Argentine consular visa for this purpose, with permission to
stay for up to TEN (10) continuous days. The National Directorate of Migration
may extend this period once for the same duration with reasonable grounds.
2. Passengers continuing their journey: Those entering Argentina intending to
continue their journey to another country, departing within TWELVE (12) hours of
arrival, presenting a confirmed departure ticket and declared as such by the
carrier. These passengers are exempt from requiring a consular visa. The
National Directorate of Migration may extend the stay period for valid reasons.
The carrier is responsible for ensuring these passengers leave the country.
Passengers continuing their travel and departing from the same location they
arrived must remain within the airport, station, or entry or exit point while
awaiting transportation.
3. Crew members or team members of a means of transport with Argentine or
foreign flag: Those entering Argentina for this purpose have a stay period of up
to TEN (10) days, exceptionally renewable for another similar period.
