Transit Visa » Bahrain
Travelers transiting through Bahrain without the intention of leaving the
international transit area do not need a visa.
Upon arrival at Bahrain International Airport, if your luggage is checked
through to your next destination, follow the signs to the Transit Desk. If you
need to collect your luggage, proceed to the Baggage hall, then pass through
Immigration and Customs. Afterward, head to the Departures area for the airline
with which you are traveling and check-in again.
Walking from the first to the last gate at Bahrain International Airport
typically takes no more than 20 minutes.
If you are connecting from one Gulf Air
flight to another destination, you may be entitled to hotel accommodation in
Bahrain. However, hotel accommodation will not be provided if there is a
connecting flight from Bahrain within 8 hours, unless no seats are available on
the first connecting flight.
Your airline should be able to arrange your
transit visa for you prior to your journey. It's advisable to check with your
airline well ahead of your trip to ensure
this is possible.
Entry and transit are refused to nationals of Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, and
Sierra Leone.
