As a general rule, foreigners who do not leave the international transit area
during layovers at Croatian airports or on international flights do not require
a visa. However, the Croatian Government may specify that nationals of certain
countries and holders of travel documents issued by those countries need an
airport-transit visa.
Airport-Transit Visa:
- Validity: This visa is issued for one, two, or several transits through the
airport international transit area, with a validity period of up to 3 months.
Transit Visa:
- Validity: Up to Six Months
- On the basis of a transit visa, an alien may stay in the Republic of Croatia
for a period of up to 5 days upon each journey.
- Transit visas may be issued to aliens if they have secured entry into the
state to which they are traveling.
