Passengers in transit are exempt from visa or tourist card requirements in Cuba if their transit time does not exceed 72 hours. They are permitted to enter Cuba on the condition that they have confirmed tickets and all necessary documents for their next trip.

Additionally, they must have approximately USD$50 per person per day or its equivalent in freely exchangeable currency for their daily expenses. They are also allowed to leave the airport for hotel accommodation.
