Nationals who would typically require visas can enter Macau without a visa for up to 48 hours if they arrive and depart from Macau International Airport.

The airport office provides expedited immediate visa endorsement service, eliminating the normal two-day wait for Taiwanese Compatriot Passports. Taiwanese passengers can purchase a one-time visa for HKD150 or a Taiwan Compatriot Passport for HKD460 (normally requiring two working days to process).

For Taiwan residents traveling to China for the first time, they must visit the Head Office in Macau to apply for the Taiwan Compatriot Passport with an effective term of 5 years.
