No visa is needed to transit through Oman if travelers do not plan to leave
the international transit area.
The Transit Visa for Oman is divided into two sections:
Air Transit Visa
The Transit Visa for expatriates is granted by the competent authority at airway
passages, based on an application submitted by the aviation carrier company.
This visa allows the holder to enter the country only once and reside for a
maximum period of 72 hours. To be eligible, the individual must have sufficient
funds to cover expenses during their stay and possess a valid ticket to continue
their travel.
Road Transit Visa
The Transit Visa is issued by Sultanate embassies in coordination with the
competent authority and remains valid for two months. It permits the holder to
transit through Sultanate territory to a neighboring country via designated
legal entry passages identified by the authority. This visa allows for a transit
period not exceeding three days. Eligibility for this visa requires that the
expatriate either holds the nationality of the neighboring country or possesses
an entry visa for that neighboring country.
