A visa is not required to transit through South Africa if travelers do not
intend to leave the international transit area. Travelers transiting through the
following international airports are exempted from needing transit visas but
will be subjected to biometric capturing directly at the airport:

O.R Tambo International Airport
2.
Cape Town International Airport
3.
King Shaka International Airport
4.
Lanseria International Airport
Transit visas are issued to foreigners passing through South Africa en route to
neighboring countries. Effective May 10, 2015, visa applicants are required to
apply in person at the South African mission. No appointment is necessary.
