Transit Visa » Tuvalu
A visa is generally not necessary to transit through Tuvalu as long as
travelers remain within the international transit area. However, visitors
intending to leave the airport and enter Tuvalu are required to obtain a visa.
According to Tuvalu immigration regulations, citizens of all countries except
those in the Schengen Area must have a visa to visit Tuvalu. Visas are typically
obtained on arrival and are issued for a maximum stay of 1 month. It's essential
for all visitors to possess a passport valid for at least 6 months.
Tuvalu signed a mutual visa-waiver agreement with the European Union on 1 July
2016. This agreement allows citizens of states that are contracting parties to
the Schengen Agreement to stay in Tuvalu without a visa for up to 90 days within
any 180-day period.
