A visa is generally not required to transit through Uganda if travelers
remain within the international transit area. However, if passengers are not
from visa-exempt countries, they can obtain a visa for Uganda upon arrival. As
of July 22, 2016, the fee for this visa is US$50.
Uganda introduced electronic visas (e-Visa) on July 1, 2016. Travelers who have
been issued an e-visa must carry a printed confirmation of their e-visa.
Additionally, a 90-day East African Tourist Visa is available upon arrival,
valid for Uganda, Kenya, and Rwanda if first used in the country that issued the
visa. The fee for this visa is US$100.
